SJ-Online Cemetery Interment Management System (OCIMS)
The Need:
The overwhelming majority of small to medium scale cemeteries in our country don’t have a dedicated cemetery website and those that do only provide information on how to purchase a burial plot,
a vague layout of the cemetery map, and general pictures of the best looking headstones within, not providing much information at all or viewable records of the interments. At SJ Modern we believe
each cemetery is a historical archive of the legacy of everyone interred in that sacred space and represents the linage of every family therein. Our goal is to create a perpetual online database
record of every person within a cemetery and celebrate the accomplishments of their life. This leaves a record trail for future generations to know from whence they came. With our (OCIMS), we
make this an obtainable goal, and for your Cemetery it shows that you care!
The Software:
SJ-Modern Online Cemetery Interment Management System uses the most modern and up-to-date database technology to power your cemetery’s online records. We backup your records database weekly and
perform all necessary maintenance to keep your website up and running. Your website will have a secure backend login that allows you to input, edit, and manage all interment records. This secure
hidden backend is called the Admin Console. The Admin Console allows you to Manage Interments, View Available Plots or Gravesites, View and Print Records, View and Approve Guardian Requests, and
to Create, Edit, and Manage User Accounts. Our initial approach is to take your cemetery’s Plat, digitize it into a colorful, to scale, representation of the grave plots of the cemetery. Once we
have the Plat layout, we then generate a Plot grid map of each gravesite so a rose marker with the interments name will appear when their record is viewed. SJ-Modern developed and copyrighted this
grid mapping process and it is not found on any other cemetery website, besides ours, in the country!
The Cost:
We are not afraid to give you an upfront estimate and won’t try to persuade you with words. SJ-Modern Solutions OCIMS software is simple and sets a standard as to what a modern cemetery website should be.
Starting cost for a small cemetery with up to 1000 interments start at around $2,500. We come in digitize your cemetery plat map, upload your complete cemetery records to a secure hosting server, create
your website pages to your standard, and then train you how to perform all the administrative features provided in your secure Admin Console.
Getting Started:
Once we have designed your cemetery plat and uploaded all your interment records you will be up and running. It will take some time to get all the interment coordinates data entered, but this is an
understandable process. Once this is accomplished. From the start, entering new burials will only take about 5 minutes. The family Guardians approved to manage family records will be responsible
for updating and uploading their loved one’s personal About Me profile with personal and headstone photos. We will provide a list of authorized music within the interment database that the family
can also access to add to their loved one’s profile.
*also note, our staff we will also be monitoring and will be adding many of your interment profiles so the process doesn’t take as long.

Implementation:
From acceptance to completion will generally take about 2 months, according to how soon we can acquire your interment records. Upon acceptance, we will acquire your website
domain address (example: perlacemetery.com) and begin programming your website so the domain DNS can be connected. We will collaborate with you weekly, as we progress with
your website and get your OK on the cosmetics as we go. Once we have the website online and functional we will spend time via phone and Goto Meetings providing step by step
training in order for you to become efficient with your OCIMS.
Note: If you already have an existing cemetery website and want it to stay online, that is quite OK. We can set up a completely different web address to run our OCIMS platform.
